Temptation On Fire 2/8/01 Mandy is as wild as ever, but here comes Shannon - as Andy put it, after viewing his girlfriend on videotape, "she's really going for it." Shannon appears to be enjoying herself more and more. The single guys must be noticing this too, as Shannon was named by six of them as their favorite.
And Shannon definitely has her eye on Tom - as do all the girls. But it must be mutual, as Tom chose Shannon as his favorite. Valerie noticed that "there is definitely something going on between Tom and Shannon." In fact, Valerie kindly gave up Tom as her date choice so that Shannon would have the opportunity. On her date with Tom, Shannon felt "butterflies all over again, and that's what I came here for." Shannon said that both Tom and Andy have "amazing qualities," and at this point she can't say who "is ahead in that way." That's interesting, as she has been with Andy for five years and with Tom for one date. Doesn't that say something about Andy?
Apparently the single women don't see a whole lot in Andy, as not one of them selected Andy as their favorite guy. Not one. But, shut-out or not, Andy did get a date of course. In fact, he got his dream date as the girls had agreed to remove the blocks imposed on the first episode. Not surprisingly, Andy took immediate advantage of the opportunity by going on a date with the previously forbidden Elizabeth.
On the date, Andy told Elizabeth that after Shannon saw all the things he's been up to on the island, he may have to relocate to Belize and start a new kayaking company. Elizabeth said she would move there with him and "the dream would never have to end (apparently Elizabeth changed her mind about her favorite). Andy describes Elizabeth as an "incredible girl, very fun."
While Andy is off with Elizabeth talking about starting a kayaking business in Belize, attorney Shannon is on her date with ivy league graduate Tom, experiencing those butterflies. At another point in the show, Andy says that "if Shannon is really into this guy Tom, and he can make her happier than I can, Shannon's happiness is my priority." Watching Shannon over the past few weeks, watching her having more fun, feeling those butterflies - let's hope for Andy's sake he means what he says about wanting Shannon's happiness. Because it looks as if she's really into this guy Tom.
