Casting Call - $ingletary $ays 1/25/05 

TV ONE (new national cable network) is casting families for new series, $ingletary $ays. Guests must present personal financial, spending and purchasing information to host Michelle Singletary and camera crew, while outlining personal finance issues and goals.    

Ms. Singletary, a financial columnist for the Washington Post and contributor to National Public Radio, will work with these families to address financial issues. The discussions will take place on-camera during a visit to the family's home.   

Immediate casting needs are: 1) Are you getting married, and have differing spending traits than your spouse? Does one of you want a big wedding, and one of you want a thrifty one? Does one of you want a big house, and the other one want to play it safe? What are the issues you face.  

Next, 2) Are you a member of the "sandwich generation" meaning, are you a parent who has to care for children as well as your parents or your spouses' parents all under one roof? Do you have dependents who are both older and younger, and what pressures and sacrifices does this involve.     

Contact SingletaryShow@yahoo.com with the following essays:  1) Your family's primary financial issues and goals; 2) A family biography with family history, job status, and living situation, 3) Why your family would be compelling and entertaining on camera, and 4) Several candid family photos. Submissions without all four items will not be considered. Taping begins early 2005.
